Vic’s Espresso/Peerless 2009 Rider Photo and Profile Brandon Henry DOB: September 4, 1991 Race Age: 17 Years Racing: 8 Hometown: Lafayette, CO Occupation: Student Category: Junior, Cat 3 Brandon began attending local races in Colorado as a young boy, following his father, Burt, to races. He decided on his own to begin racing and now races time trials, road races, criteriums, and hill climbs. At 5’7” and 117 lbs, he sees his specialty as climbing and “hilly road races,” he said. Brandon’s favorite training rides in the area are on long mountain roads where he rides his new Specialized Tarmac Road Bike. Brandon has a goal of racing the Mt Evans Hill Climb race in less than 2 hours by 2009. Brandon also raced in category SM 4 in 2008 and began racing SM 3 in 2009 at age seventeen! Everyone on the team answered the question “If you could a super hero for a week, who would you be?”; Brandon’s answer was Big Chuck Coyle. In the winter months Brandon also nordic skis. He has an interest in meteorology, likes to play the Pro Cycling Manager Game, and surfs the net. Brandon is a great asset to the Vic’s Espresso/Peerless cycling team.
